Basenji

Known as the 'barkless dog' for its unique yodel-like vocalization called a barroo, the Basenji is an ancient breed from Central Africa that was used for hunting small game in dense forest. They are curious, independent, and fastidiously clean — often grooming themselves like cats — with a graceful, elegant build and an alert, intelligent expression.
