A gentle giant from the Swiss Alps, the Bernese Mountain Dog was originally a versatile farm dog used for drafting, herding, and companionship. Known for their striking tri-color coat and sweet, affectionate nature, they are wonderful family dogs, though they unfortunately have a shorter lifespan than many breeds their size.
