Developed by the Soviet military in the mid-20th century by crossing Giant Schnauzers, Rottweilers, Airedales, and other breeds, the Black Russian Terrier is a robust, confident guardian. Despite 'terrier' in their name, they are a large, powerful working breed that is protective, intelligent, and deeply loyal to their family.
