Border Terrier

The Border Terrier was developed along the border between England and Scotland in the 18th century, bred by farmers and huntsmen to be agile enough to follow horses yet small enough to bolt foxes from their dens. Its distinctive otter-shaped head, wiry double coat, and sturdy build reflect a functional design honed for demanding terrain and long days of work. Despite its working origins, the Border Terrier is notably good-natured and adaptable, forming close bonds with its family while retaining the tenacious spirit inherent to all terriers.
