English Toy Spaniel

The English Toy Spaniel, known in the United Kingdom as the King Charles Spaniel, is a small, cobby toy breed with a long royal history as a lapdog favored by British aristocracy, most famously King Charles II. Distinguished from the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel by its domed skull, upturned nose, and more compact body, the breed comes in four color varieties: King Charles, Prince Charles, Ruby, and Blenheim. Gentle and deeply affectionate with its family, the English Toy Spaniel has a somewhat reserved disposition with strangers but thrives as a devoted indoor companion.
