Lhasa Apso

The Lhasa Apso is an ancient breed originating from the Himalayan region of Tibet, where it served as a sentinel inside palaces and monasteries for over a thousand years. Revered by Tibetan monks and nobility, the breed was thought to bring good luck and was never sold but only given as a sacred gift. Despite its glamorous, floor-length double coat, the Lhasa Apso is a hardy, assertive dog with a keen watchdog instinct and a characteristic wariness toward strangers.
