Scottish Deerhound

A tall, wiry-coated sighthound bred to course red deer in the Scottish Highlands, the Deerhound is gentle, dignified, and quietly affectionate. They are one of the most easygoing of the large breeds indoors, happy to lounge for hours, but come alive with remarkable speed and endurance when given room to run.
